Divine Mercy for Catholics

The message, image, and prayers of Divine Mercy have been approved and promolgated by the highest authorities of the Catholic Church.

Pope John Paul II canonized Sr. Faustina in 2000 making her the "first saint of the new millennium."

The Catholic Church has an official feast day, the "Feast of Divine Mercy", which is officially celebrated by the universal Catholic Church on the Sunday following Easter.  This is as Jesus requested of Sr. Faustina as recorded in her diary:
  • "The Feast of Mercy emerged from my very depths of tenderness. It is my desire that it solemnly be celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the fount of My Mercy."
